What's up Cindigo and Vegas. Sounds like you guys are getting back to your regular life. I was just in Yosemite for a couple weeks hanging out with hikers and helping them out when I could. I think my foot is finally healing, but I think Ill go back and start the PCT again next year. I'm actually currently en route (albeit slowly) toward Denver to hike the Colorado Trail. You guys going to be there for a while? Hook a semi homeless guy up with a place to crash for a night or so maybe before I hit the trail? Hope you guys are both doing great.

Aunt Cintila and Uncle Andy,
This is Gracie and I want you to know that we miss you and want you to come back and visit us. How did you get the chipmunk on your hand? How did you find the chipmunk? How did you get back to Grandma's house? I like that picture of you sitting in the tree. Were you scared of the rattlesnakes and bears? How many times did you stop and get more water? It seems like it has been a long time since we've seen you guys. I miss you.
Love,
Gracie

Cyndi and Andy, I'm sorry you didn't make it all the way, but as I said when I met you two, I have a great deal of admiration for the PCT hikers, and I still admire you, if for nothing else but having the guts to put your joys and travails on line.
One of the pictures frozen in mind of this years through hikers is you looking rather spent under the I-10 bridge at Whitewater, and your happiness with an ice cold coke and a milky way
Have a great future, and I'm sure you'll both be stronger from your experience this year.

When my best on-trail friends quit, one of their moms starting sending me a few of their pre-packed care packages. If you've organised food for the rest of the trip maybe you could pass forward all the hospitality you got while walking. Become trail angels to your fellow hikers :-)

NO I don't think so--- I posted that because she and I were both born three months early and I found the article and thought she might want to read it... She was with me when My oldest daughter was born and I think I scarred her for life I do not think she will ever want to have children...
And also the giving up because they just don't feel like it doesn't seem to fit this either.... I have never tried a hike like that and for them to make almost 900 miles Is a wonderful thing...They had a wonderful experiece

I am sorry that it didnt come out they way you planned it. Dont worry about the people following you on this blog, worry about yourself :-) So I read that a pregnancy was partly also the reason for quitting?? Is it true? :-)

@Denise: I also plan to hike some parts (the whole?) of the PCT with my son (12 years), maybe we can share some thoughts and ideas? Contact me at pct@fisler.ch.

OK ... I hear ya ... So, Cindy is pregnant??? That makes MUCH more sense than just giving-up because "we don't feel like it." Thank God, my faith in humanity was being greatly diminished! -- CGW
